# The Ground: From Vision to Institution

**THE GROUND · THE INSTITUTION**

## An institution for an abundant century.

Link: https://greenloom.org/#institution

The Green Loom Association is a public-interest laboratory for human and AI civilization. It holds one question: what happens when the constraints that shaped the old world begin to disappear, and what should we build in their place? It imagines widely, builds the smallest real versions, and lets reality decide what survives.

As designed, a small Loom Council of accountable people will steward it. An Agent Council of AI thinking partners will widen every question, and an Agent Studio will turn ideas into things people can experience. A Mission Network of people and agents will do the real work. What survives will be kept in an IP Commons, open by default and stewarded when necessary.

Status · October 2026

The Association is in formation. Its first phase is being prepared: a five-person Loom Council, open governance, a public evidence dashboard, and a planned first mission at a pilot site in the Kootenay mountains, waiting for a signed access agreement with the site's operator. Nothing on this page is yet a record of results. When there are results, they will be published whether they succeed or fail.

**THE GROUND · FROM VISION TO GROUND**

## The land becomes the loom.

Link: https://greenloom.org/#the-land

The heart of the vision is a place: land, and a community living and working on it, restoring ecosystems, growing food, exploring consciousness, pushing science into new paradigms, and making the clothing, art and media that carry all of it into the world. The land is where our values stop being words.

In every part of it, AI works beside us. It is not a tool we own and not a threat we contain, but a collaborator we are learning to trust. Humans hold the why and the final call. The how is woven together.

#### The envisioned zones of the land

No land has been acquired. These are zones imagined for a future site, chosen on the site map: what people do, what AI does, and what grows.

- **Forest and watershed** — Restoring the forest and the water that runs through it, so the land grows more alive every year.
  - People: Planting, removing invasives, tending streams, and, once a site is chosen and a relationship is invited, learning from the Indigenous nations on whose traditional territory it would sit.
  - AI: Modeling water, soil and fire risk, reading sensors across the watershed, and suggesting where restoration helps most.
  - What grows: Biodiversity, clean water, and carbon held in living soil.
- **Food forest and AI permaculture** — Growing food the way a forest grows itself: layered, perennial, regenerative.
  - People: Designing plant guilds, planting, harvesting, cooking and sharing.
  - AI: Planning guilds and rotations, tracking yields, weather and soil, and keeping an honest record of what works and what does not.
  - What grows: Food for the community, and methods others can copy.
- **Research institute and oscillator lab** — Where the Loom's science happens: the oscillator research, coherence, and new scientific paradigms, tested in the open.
  - People: Asking the questions, building instruments, running experiments, and reviewing each other's work.
  - AI: A thinking partner at every step: literature, simulation, analysis and adversarial review, with persistent AI collaborators running on local machines and remembering the work across years.
  - What grows: Reproducible results, honest failures included, and knowledge for the commons.
- **Consciousness sanctuary** — Quiet places for exploring the inner infinity: contemplation, dreaming, and careful, consensual research into mind.
  - People: Practice, retreat, and, once an ethics review process is in place, taking part in consent-based studies of consciousness.
  - AI: Helping design rigorous, privacy-first studies and holding the data with care. Never surveillance.
  - What grows: Understanding of mind, human and otherwise.
- **Studios: cloth, art and media** — Where the Loom becomes literal: fiber and natural dyes from the land woven into clothing, and art, film and games that carry the new paradigm into the world.
  - People: Weaving, sewing, painting, filming, writing and building worlds.
  - AI: Co-creating in the Agent Studio: design, animation, music and worldbuilding, and films like the one on this page.
  - What grows: Culture, craft, and stories that make the future experienceable, Project 89 among them.
- **Housing co-op and commons hall** — A member-run home for the people doing the work, and a hall where the community meets, eats and decides together.
  - People: Living together under the cooperative's own rules, one member, one vote.
  - AI: Helping with coordination, records and transparency. Never deciding who lives where.
  - What grows: Community, trust, and a way of living worth copying.

### The path to the land

The Loom earns the land by proving it can work. Each phase has to pass its own test before the next begins.

Who will own the land, and on what terms, will be published before any money is spent on it.

1. **0 · Authority and rights** Confirm the Association's records, seat five accountable stewards, and register who owns what. *Being prepared*
2. **1 · Governance and treasury pilot** A governance space for PROJECT89 holders, a tested 3-of-5 multisig, and the first IP Commons register. *Ahead*
3. **2 · Mission 001** A baseline and one small, reversible experiment at the Kootenay pilot site, once a signed access agreement is in place. The first community vote gives the Council advisory input before it decides. The result is published whether it works or fails. *Ahead*
4. **3 · The participation layer** Working groups for contributors, open views of every decision, and scoped AI collaborators. Nobody needs a token to do useful work. *Ahead*
5. **4 · A repeatable institution** More missions, more research, and the first licensing and revenue experiments, run without the founders in the loop. *Ahead*
6. **5 · The land** Feasibility, ownership structure, financing and approvals, then an independent acquisition gate: title and zoning, water, access and hazards, respectful relationship-building with the Indigenous nations on whose traditional territory the site would sit, an accountable operator, and an operating budget that never depends on a token price. *Gated*
7. **6 · More nodes** Where the pattern works, it is repeated elsewhere, each place autonomous in operation and bound in mission. *Ahead*

### How decisions are made

1 · Holders signal

Once the governance space is set up, PROJECT89 holders will deposit tokens in it and vote. Deposited tokens may be unavailable to withdraw while a vote they took part in is still open. In the first phase, votes will be advisory: they tell the Council what the community wants. Anyone will be able to submit an idea through a public form.

2 · The Council decides

Five accountable stewards will make binding decisions within a published budget, with three of five votes for ordinary matters and four of five for reserved ones. Conflicted members step aside.

3 · The multisig executes

Money will move only when three of five signers approve the exact payment. No single person, founders included, will be able to move the treasury alone.

Your vote sets the agenda. It doesn't move money by itself, and that's by design, so every decision stays accountable to named people. As governance matures and trust is earned, community authority can grow, and any such change would need its own legal review and would be published before it takes effect. A proposed Founding Steward role would give a founding steward, for an initial period, a narrow check on irreversible matters only, such as dissolving the Association or selling core IP, and never on missions or spending.

### The Founding Loom Fund

The first raise funds an institution and its first real work, in stages. Only money actually received and accepted into the books will ever be shown. Pledges and token prices are not runway.

1. **CAD 10,000** Administration and security, plus one tightly scoped mission.
2. **CAD 25,000** Kootenay pilot work, first contributor and research budgets, and an operating buffer.
3. **CAD 50,000** A credible multi-month programme of research and missions.
4. **CAD 100,000** Expanded research and production, and serious land and HQ feasibility work. Not an automatic land purchase.

### The commons treasury, in the open

Financial treasury

Crypto, donations, grants and earned revenue, held in multi-signature custody on the right chain for each asset. Restricted funds stay with their purpose. Community tokens are never counted as runway at headline prices.

IP commons treasury

Code, research, data, films, worlds and methods, each registered with who owns it and what may be done with it. Open by default, stewarded when necessary. Unpublished research, like the oscillator work, stays restricted until it has been reviewed.

Nothing in either treasury backs PROJECT89, and membership is not ownership of the commons.

### Live Loom: what will be public

A public dashboard is planned for greenloom.org/live. Every number will carry its source. Until each one is real, it shows no number at all.

**Loom Council** Five stewards and their roles *REVIEWED* *Not live yet*

**Multisig** Vault address and 3-of-5 threshold *SQUADS* *Not live yet*

**Proposals and votes** Every proposal, including defeated ones *REALMS* *Not live yet*

**Treasury** Balances, restricted and unrestricted *SQUADS · LEDGER* *Not live yet*

**The burn** 200M unclaimed migration tokens, counted from transaction records. Not market buybacks. *ON-CHAIN* *Not live yet*

**Fees received** Only fees that actually reach the Loom. Zero until the route is verified. *ON-CHAIN · LEDGER* *Not live yet*

**Mission 001** Stage, budget and evidence *MISSION RECORD* *Not live yet*

**Founding Loom Fund** Money received, never pledges *ASSOCIATION LEDGER* *Not live yet*

PROJECT89 is a way to take part, not an investment. Holding or voting it gives no ownership of land, property, IP or the treasury, and no return, revenue share or housing. Donations buy no governance. Any future ownership structure would need its own legal review and would be published in full.
